Update

Allie is now 9 months old! She is growing like crazy. She loves to talk and squeel. She really enjoys chasing after the cat, although the cat isnt too fond of it. No matter what mood Allie is in, Annie will put a smile on her face. Today, the 22nd, Allie has had a fever, of up to 102.3. We have been doing the best to take care of her and making sure she feels comfortable. We are hoping the fever breaks over night. It has been a stressful day for me worrying about her but she seems to be doing alright. She has been pretty drowsy today although she has had times where she is acting like herself. Smiling and trying to play with the cat, and even wanting to crawl a bit. She has a dr appointment on friday, the 24th, for a reg. checkup. We are hoping she will be much better by then so we wont have to take her to the dr twice this week. Oh and Allie is getting her 3rd tooth!! Her two bottom teeth just started to come in, and sure enough I noticed today that one of her top teeth is starting to poke through. The poor thing bust be so uncomfortable!
As for the rest of us.. We are doing good. We have been busy. We are hoping that Jake will be signing out, finishing up all of the army paperwork, by friday!! Yay!! Which is the main thing Jake has been working on for the past week and a half. So once all of that goes through it will be a big relief. The house is half way packed. We just mostly have things we use on a daily basis to pack this weekend. We only have a week from Sat! We may leave earlier depending on how we feel and where we stand with everything. We are getting so excited to get back to Washington! As for me, I just have been busy with a crawling chatter monkey :) and packing. She makes packing a little more fun.. I pack everything in boxes, and she pulls them back out.. haha.. Its pretty cute. I start school on Sept. 24th. I am looking forward to starting back up. Chance is doing good. He is a happy dog that loves to play around. He really loves to play with Allie, and enjoys all of the attention that she gives him. Annie is doing pretty good. About a week and a half ago, Annie disappeared for almost a week. She ended up coming back home over the weekend, injured. We think a dog attacked her. She has a fairly good gash on her stomach. But she is doing better now. She is starting to be back to her normal self. :)

The Resolution

Friday, June 8, 2012
The Robison Family attended "The Resolution" Ceremony put on by one of the Army Chaplains, Barnett. First off, Chaplain Barnett has been a great influence for Jake throughout this experience. Barnett and Jake hung out while they were deployed and Jake continued to attend Bible Study since they have been back. Chaplain Barnett is soon being stationed somewhere else and this ceremony was a little bit of a goodbye for him and also a sign of saying goodbye for us soon.
For those of you who have not seen Courageous, we recommend it! It is very inspiring. Jake and I first saw it in theaters last year while I was pregnant. When we had seen the movie we had wanted to do the ceremony for Allie. Well that chance had come and we very much enjoyed it. It was a nice low key ceremony. There was roughly 20 people there including children and spouses. The group of us had a nice little lunch, watched the movie and then the Resolution/commitment papers were handed out. This ceremony was very touching. Here are some pictures of Jake and his paper:

The Resolution says:

I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.

I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.

I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.

I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.

I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.

I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.

I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.

I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.

I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.

I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.

I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ---Joshua 24:15
